throwback Thursday item of the day NIKE AIR REVOLUTIONS
In the Spirit of Throwback Thursday, I bring you the throwback item of the day....The Nike Air Revolutions.
Now being a Jordan (sneaker) fan, I can see why I like this sneaker. The midsole is pretty much the same like a pair of Jordan 3s. The history of it is, Michael wasn't thrilled with the way the jordan line of sneaker by Nike was going, and wanted to have more creative influence. In steps Tinker Hatfield, designer of the Air Max 1 and Js 3 to 15. Thus was born, the Nike Air Revolution. I remember a classmate, who played ball in jr high school, used to rock these, around '88. He wasn't one of my favorite people, and unfortunately, I discovered, in high school, he had been killed. Daaaaammmn...I didn't really get into the revolutions, until they re introduced them later, but in different colorways, as well as a mid top. As we all know, Everything Old is New again, so I would find myself spending some of my adult life, and alot of my adult money copping sneakers from back in the day, aka Retros...I got so wrapped up in getting and re-getting Js from back then, that when I seen online the Revolutions were coming back, I put myself on Retro Js hiatus, and on a mission to cop these bad boys!!!!! It would be great to get the original blue/white & grey colorway. I'll also be good with the Red joints, we used to call em Radio Raheems. Interesting, If you noticed, Spike's DO THE RIGHT THING was filled with a bunch of Nike heat...Anywho...the Nike Air Revolutions are coming back, sometime this summer...and I need to cop. When & how they come back (july, august, via store or internet) is anyone's guess. I just need to be on it.
