Y'all Know, the saying...Everything Old is New...from the music we listen to, the sneakers we wear on our feet, to the clothes we wear on our backs. The word 'retro' has been thrown around so much, that now, stores have capitalized off of selling vintage, used, Retro, hand-me-down clothing in the masses. Throwback goods are sooo in. Mitchell and Ness have been doing it for years, Michael and Brand Jordan And the good people over at Nike have been taking advantage of releasing kicks that we had, loved, lusted after but couldn't afford, and now we got a couple dollars, bought over and over again, sometimes by standing on line or camping out at stores for em..Yes its On!!!
One of my favorite designers, Ralph Lauren Polo, is now doing the same thing. For years we rocked the brand, like A badge of honor, A token of excellence, A representation of who we were and how Fresh we dressed. Polo symbols which we gave nick names, like the Crest or the Crizzy, the cop badge, the scribble, and the cookie. Well, Ralph did come back with the Crizzy, and alot of us flocked towards the scribble, now he has done it again with the Cookie...The good ol' cookie, usually on shirts, sweaters, coats, and pants, sometimes accompanied by a 'POLO USA' has come back standing alone, oh no wait...they even have a cookie hoody with the horsey on da chest...sooo NO BUENO...
