SPREAD MY WINGS-GROWN MAN STYLE
I think the last time I wore Hard bottomed shoes was , like in 2000, to my moms' funeral...They went well with the suit. I continued to get my dress up on from time to time, but I chose the route of the soft bottom, or rubber sole, sneaker type shoe...Now, before the blow up of the HBO show Boardwalk Empire, I have been seeing Wingtip shoes for a lil while, now it seems like All the shoe makers make em like Clarks & Steve Madden, one of my faves is this company called CLAE...I just got up on em, but they make a nice wingtip. I think I might cop mine from them, however, there are other makers, and other styles of wingtips..Hard & soft bottom, and since I'm bout to see that BIG 40...I think its wise to step up my shoe game, a lil...I'm not throwin away my Js....oh no...but on those nice afternoons, What shoe would compliment a nice blazer, a button up, sum jeans or khakis, except sum bangin WINGTIPS....
grown man status!!!!!
SOLD her Soul to BUY sum Attention...
NOW,
I'M LIKE ANYONE ELSE....I LIKES to see a big booty, nice racked, video vixen walking around in a bikini, grindin, twerkin, or just Standing there, in a rap video, Especially when the artist LACKS lyrical content and when the director of the clip LACKS any type of imagination. Its like," Oh well, this is garb...WAIT, LOOK AT THAT..."
sometimes, I don't really remember, or Really Care what the record was about, or Who the artist is, But I can tell you, What SHE looked like. I know, its a Shame...oh well, such is Rap....So I'm listening to the hip hop video channel, and I look up and see, Kendrick Lamar, a rapper who can ACTUALLY RAP...so what he from the West coast...his video for "BACKSEAT FREESTYLE" could've been just that, a clip of him in the backseat of a car, freestyling..but NOOOOO, he went the route of the big booty eye candy...actually, her name is 'Sherane'
You know the phrase, 'she SOLD her SOUL just to BUY sum Attention... Well, ma, you definately got my attention, as well as a few other ppl...(i seen the comments under the video) and it wasn't a quick shot, its lasted for a minute, maybe a few...(try 2:30-2:54) so I guess I would say, hats off to you Kendrick, your vid got my attention, and Hats off to you Sherane...You bought you sum. Hope to see you amongst the ranks of the twerk champs...LOL
now WATCH & LISTEN or just Watch....LOL

Soooo HOW WAS UR WKND (JAN 20-21st)
What you did this past weekend? when you had that extra day off for the MLK holiday? Me, I did nothing. However, there were a few places, I wouldn't have MIND being. There was the Inauguration of our president Barack Obama, to his 2nd term, in Washington D.C., now I probably wouldn't have got as close to see the actual swearing in....but at least I would've been in the place to be. It was a good look though, for us as a people, for the nation, for the whole USA...Good Look for Rap Royalty Jay Z & Beyonce (aka the Carters) ...Even though, she DON'T rap, she's married to a rapper. She did sing the National Anthem. Some people are suggesting she lip synced it, Me, I don't care.. What matters is, she was there and her rapper husband was there with her. Many HATE JAY...hell, many HATE BEY...but If you have the $$$ to help contribute to the prez's campaign and you get to hang out with him on Inauguration day, wouldn't that be Great? (i mean thats a long way from Eazy E hanging ONLY eating dinner wit Bush)Overall, the whole weekend of the Inauguration, the parties, the events, its just a big thing, you know.....
Another Big thing, I wouldn't have mind being at, was the celebration, of the LO-LIFES' 25th anniversary, kicked off with the LO END THEORY(brought to you by dalaspenn.com) at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC...Followed up by the LO GOOSE ON THE DEUCE event later that night...on, where else, forty-deuce, times square. For those who just started wearing Polo Ralph Lauren a couple years ago, and think your shining with a horsey shirt, THINK AGAIN!!! I been wearing 'lo for at least 20 years, and through the influence of Lo Lifes I seen, met, in High School, it was a no brainer to rock these fancy threads, and TRUST, the horsey was the LAST THING I WANTED TO WEAR....There were sooooo many different symbols , pieces, sweaters, accessories...from p wings to cross flags, from unis to sportsman knits... ahhh man, the nostalgia of it all...Of course, as we all know, the hip hop culture is infused with fashion, and with all the fashion trends that rocked, from Adidas w/no laces, to Cazals without the lenses, 8-ball jackets, nike suits, gore-tex ski coats, just fly gear in general, you couldn't really talk hip hop culture/fashion without talkin POLO RALPH LAUREN.. and the subculture of LO in itself. Rae knew what he was talkin bout wit the line "Same Damn LO sweater..." As a self-professed 'old head' that don't wanna really leave the 90s...its still good to see MY peoples still doin the thing. Still collecting vintage pieces, and showing em off. Mix the LO with hip hop and you got the LO END THEORY...
The 'Lo-End Theory is a celebration of the importance that Polo Ralph Lauren clothing holds within Hip-Hop. In this continuity no years rings louder than 1992 (our ticket price). This was Polo Ralph Lauren's 25th anniversary. Most Hip-Hop Polo heads would agree there was no greater year in the designs of this brand....ADD in hip hop artists like ROC MARCIANO, BUCKSHOT, SEAN PRICE, THIRSTIN HOWL THE 3RD, RACK LO, TIMELESS TRUTH, and you got yourself one hell of a show....
Every Great entree is followed by a bangin dessert, so later after the show, Lo enthusiasts, collectors, photographers, journalists, bloggers, Lo-Lifes and Lo-Wives, as well as the RLPC (aka the Time Machine Crew) flocked to the deuce, to kick it, conversate, politic, deal, sell, and just take pics of their wears in the LOve of LO at the LO GOOSE ON THE DEUCE event...Imagine the entire Ralph Lauren clothing catalog, old and new, waking around in Times square, 42nd street, blocks away from the famous stores that carry the brand. Nobody is mad, nobody is beefing, nobody is mean muggin and nobody is actin like they too fly to take pics...like a Woodstock, with POLO, at night, in January, in the COOOLLLLDDD.. Even if you weren't there (like yours truly) you can go online and see pics of the events...BOTH of em. Thats where I got my pics. so feast your eyes and enjoy....

ONLY IN NYC....NO PANTS 2013
When I lived in the Big Apple, I, like other New Yorkers took it for granted. I didn't do all the New Yorky things to do... However, the beauty about my city, is, theres always something to do...something to see...Whether is 10 at night, or 3 in da morning, 4 in the afternoon, or right after dinner. Hell, even Rush Hour is an interesting time. The other day was the 12th annual NO PANTS SUBWAY RIDE....and to put it in a nutshell, its when thousands of straphangers, ride the trains and buses with NO PANTS....
The No Pants Subway Ride is an annual event staged by Improv Everywhere every January in New York City. The mission started as a small prank with seven guys and has grown into an international celebration of silliness, with dozens of cities around the world participating each year. The idea behind No Pants is simple: Random passengers board a subway car at separate stops in the middle of winter without pants. The participants do not behave as if they know each other, and they all wear winter coats, hats, scarves, and gloves. The only unusual thing is their lack of pants.....
AHHH MAAAAN, ONLY IN NYC....
well, oncce again, I MISSED IT, but I hope you enjoy the pics...

COP SUM NEW BALS....
SO you copped a pair of Js, and with the tax it ran you about $180....ok, you got that dough, you might be a baller, but that don't mean you got the freshest sneaker because you paid $160...There are alot of NON Jordan kicks out there, Startin out at $150 and Better....2 of which, just happen to be the New Balance 1300s and the 1500s...or M1300ER & CM1500GG, if you wanna get technical. I heard one time, that foot doctors a well as chiropractors, suggest that the New Balance sneaker was better for your feet and back. I don't know, gotta do some more research. What I do know is both these types of doctors NEVER say anything about Jordans being good for your feet and back!! But as a buyer of Js in the past, I can't lie, I just LIKE THE WAY THEY LOOK!!!
and the NEW BALANCE also. Thing is w/NBs, you gotta make sure you know what Number you wanna get. Alot of stores carry them 574s and 576s. Which usually run between $50-$60, but if you wanna get up on sum 13 and 15 hunneds...you gotta look, you gotta search...No not V.I.M.S or your local Foot Locker. Even New Balance stores barely carry these numbers. I got up on a store (one in Bklyn/one in Manhattan's greenwich Village) that carried em. Kith nyc....look em up KithNYC.com
1300s and 1500s...LOVE EM BOTH!!!
