One of my fave mags....COMPLEX released their cover for their upcoming Feb/Mar 2013 issue... and the original rudegal badgal Rihanna is on the cover. Matter fact, she on 7 of em. I get a subscription, so lord knows which one I'm gonna get. However COMPLEX allows you to see all the covers. I looked, and I think I have 3 that I really like.

THE GRAPES ARE COMING!!!!

Everybody has a fashion guide they follow, a sort of fashion bible.... certain rules & regulations. Like no wearing stripes with polka dots, or don't wear a tie, with a Short Sleeve button down shirt, maybe no wearing sweatpants with hard bottom shoes, ....Or No wearing WHITE AFTER MEMORIAL DAY...I even heard, that it was a lil taboo to wear WHITE SNEAKERS After Memorial day...so that means I can't wear my white tennis shoes right now? (tennis shoes are what they call kicks in the south) fashion rule or not, I Still see plenty of White sneakers in January!!!!

However, as fast as January is moving, May will be here before you know it, and so will Memorial Day....and on May 4th, you'll get a chance to get you sum SPANKING NEW WHITE TENNIS... uhhh Kicks...the Air Jordan Retro v (5) white, purple and turqoise aka THE GRAPES are coming!!! I digs me sum Js...but this has got to be one of my favorite colorways. I know you know wut they look like, but just in case you forgot...heres sum pics...

Jan almost done, and it will soon be February. For most, its the shortest month, for others, its Black history month. I just happened to be cruising the internet and Seen some joints, Nike is putting out just for Black History month. There is also a 'year of the snake' collection, that Nike does as well, and these kicks, made their mark with that collection as well...the Nike Air Force 1 Low Downtown “BHM” to me, ME...I think its a nice looking sneaker, the brown/hazelnut leather, and the swoosh, PONYHAIR... come on...PONYHAIR!!!!! now once you go putting python and/or any animal fur or hair on a Nike, be prepared to pay A GRIP...don't know the cost, or the release date, but be on the look out...say wutcha want...I LIKES EM!!!!

...ONCE UPON A TIME,

A rapper would let everyone know he had an album coming out, he would go on radio, do interviews, leak a track or 2, be on the cover of magazines, do a show here and there, even do a video, that they would play on a MTV, VH1 AND/OR BET... The highly anticipated album would drop (usually on a tuesday) and everyone would go to their nearest mom & pop, best buy, circuit city, or even target, to cop the album.

Now, with the growth of the internet, and the absence of the A&Rs, the big time record labels and the Real TALENT...hell, lets just say, the ENTIRE MUSIC INDUSTRY.... you barely get to see any of the above....You might see a video, on MTV JAMS...and on BET's 106 & park (is that STILL ON???) but the real rotation is on the youtubes, dailymotions, vimeos, and the dredded Worldstar!!!! the mom & pops are gone, and really, WHY buy cds? where ya gonna put em? (THANX ITUNES) who needs a radio show, when internet radio got that down packed, and everyone and their momma has a video camera, so everyone gets to do their own video interviews and their own lil vlogs ...thats a video blog, just in case you didn't know... and if your internet following is NOT on point, then YOU as an artist is not on point. The PLUS SIDE IS... EVERYONE is not in the street like they used to be, pestering you to buy their cd for $5...they have resorted to download links, mixtape sites, and social media.. and the beautiful part...ITS ALL FREE!!!!! so I can get to sample some new stuff, dislike it, and not feel bad because i went & paid for it. Even known artists WHO HAD videos on REGULAR TV... who have a following, BEFORE INTERNET... are resorting to the free download...i got my hands on Fab's THE S.O.U.L. TAPE 2, AND I MUST SAY, A NICE PIECE OF WORK... prolly would've PAID for it...


now Harlem's own JUELZ SANTANA is back with a mixtape... and to be honest, if i had to pick out of that whole DIPSET/BYRDGANG/DIPLOMATS crew...i pick Juelz, NOE, Uncasa..and Ruger (Hell) Rell... however, like Fab, Juelz's baby moms got sum tv shine (tv guap) from that LOVE & HIP HOP...not a bad look for the ladies, but the fellas chose to stick to the music....so before the end of the week, i shall be gettin my FREE DOWNLOAD of JUELZ latest GOD WILL'N ,

what I got to lose? but space on my ipod...LOL

FLYER THAN A PIECE OF PAPER.........

Now me being a very visual person...images and pictures are the first thing that catch my attention. One day I MIGHT, (and I STRESS MIGHT) Try my hand at party promotin' and I'm gonna promote wit all types of FANCY FLYERS....gets the people interested. I know they get my 'interest'. Even in the day and age of social media, internet, email, plain ole Word of Mouth....a good ole flyer, or advertisement, is wuts needed to get the ball rollin....
